  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The Hammers midfielder was on the scoresheet again this season as he hit back to equalise against Brighton and earn a good point at home. Kudus has become known for borrowing the pitch-side perch of a steward after hitting the net but has now opted to get his own special stool from Ghana which, after scoring against the Seagulls, he pulled out to sit on in celebration. He is back amongst the goals after a spell on the sidelines following suspension.

  • WHAT KUDUS SAID

Speaking to West Ham's social media team, Kudus said: "As you know I used to borrow the one [stool] from the stewards, and then I thought of an idea. This is a stool from where I am from, Ghana, and the chiefs sit on it so it is very special. It shows your authority and the kingship. I thought, 'Why not do something different?' There are a lot of people sitting on the [advertising] boards now and there is a lot of conversation about it, so when I bring my stool out now, this is mine and nobody can do it."

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Kudus' form is likely to keep attracting potential suitors. The Ghanaian has been linked with a huge £85m ($107m) switch to either Arsenal or Liverpool as the Premier League heavyweights seek to bolster their attacks. He has scored three goals and registered one assist in 12 league games this season but will look to kick on in the second half of the campaign.

    WHAT NEXT FOR KUDUS?

While a move away from the struggling Hammers in January is unlikely, the Premier League and Europe's biggest clubs will be keeping an eye on the 24-year-old. He was nominated for the Puskas award for his solo effort against Freiburg and will no doubt court yet more attention in the months to come.
