Chelsea star reveals shock transfer dream before retirement

Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo has revealed that he wants to play in Ecuador before he retires.

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    Caicedo has revealed that he would love to conclude his career in his homeland. The midfielder remains in his prime at Chelsea and has made 98 appearances since his £115 million ($146m) arrival from Brighton in 2023.

    Caicedo played for Independiente del Valla between 2019 and 2021 but has now revealed his affection for Liga de Quito, confirming that if given the chance, he would enjoy bringing down the curtain on his career in Ecuador. He has won 55 caps for his country, scoring for them in their 2022 World Cup defeat to Senegal in Qatar.

    Caicedo told Radio Ritmo 98.5: "The future, nobody knows. If the opportunity is given and if God allows, I will return to my country, but if the opportunity arises to be in Liga (De Quito), I will do it without any problem."
