Kane headed to Germany in a bid to savour long-awaited success, with his second season at the Allianz Arena delivering a Bundesliga title triumph. The 31-year-old is relieved to have finally shaken that monkey from his back.

Speaking on his channel, Kane said when asked about winning a trophy alongside ex-Tottenham team-mate Eric Dier and whether he will be among the Spurs fans in Spain: "It was a nice moment to have with Eric. We have spent a lot of time together. To get our first trophy after so many years was a great moment and a big relief. Pure happiness from both of us. That was a great experience to have.

"With Tottenham, I won’t be there in Bilbao. I won’t be able to go but for sure I will be watching and wishing Tottenham all the best. Hopefully they can win their first trophy in a while as well. It would be a great moment for everyone."
